Unseen Perspective

Unseen Perspective is Baron Collocott and we are synonymous with photography.

Digital Photography has taken over our world in a phenomenal way. It’s opened it up to where everyone can easily take a decent shot of the world around them.

However, most standard point and shoot or cellphone cameras are limited in their dynamic range, control of aperture and ISO settings. Their lenses are slow to zoom and the quality is not as incredible as the glass developed for professional photographers such as the Canon EF 70 – 200mm F/2.8L IS ii USM Lens or the Canon Ts-E 17mm F/4L Tilt Shift Lens.

As I have grown as a photographer I’ve learnt many in-depth techniques for shooting varied projects and still have a lot to learn in the endless creativity of using light and composition to create that perfect yet beautiful Unseen Perspective.

I shoot with Canon for all my ground based projects:

  1. Canon 5D mark iii and the above two lenses for portraiture, architecture and beyond…
  2. Canon 60D and Sigma 150 – 500mm F5-6.3 APO DG OS HSM lens for my wildlife photography.

I shoot with the DJI Phantom 4 Pro v2 for most of my aerial projects and have the DJI F550 and GoPro Hero 4 as a backup. The F550 is unique in that it is modifiable. I fly it using 70MHz rather than the usual 2.4GHz allowing me to fly where the other can’t.

I carry the Civil Aviation Part 102 certification, through FlyUAV NZ, and have worked with Fletchers Construction and Northland Roofs in restricted airspace such as Whenuapai and Auckland city. I also carry full public liability cover and specialised aviation insurances for the use of a drone.
